We paddleboard in so many locations across South Wales, we thought we’d try to help you choose your first adventure with us, by letting you know our favourties!
Half-Day Trips
SUP Lesson in North Cardiff
Learn to Paddleboard at Radyr Weir. Whether you’re new to paddleboarding, looking to improve your skills or boost your confidence, our lessons will help you achieve your goals at your own pace. Located in the north of Cardiff, Radyr weir is the ideal place to learn with Outdoor Explore Wales.
Brecon Canal Aqueduct Paddle
Our favorite canal adventure. This paddle takes you across the Brynich aqueduct which was built to traverse the River Usk over 200 years ago. It’s the longest Aqeuduct on the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal and gives you the first glimpse of the stunning scenery we’ll see along the way on this relaxing, chilled-out paddle through the Brecon Beacons. Also, why not try this paddle at night on our Dark Sky Night Paddle?
Full-Day Trips
Gower Beach Hopping
NEW for 2023! Take a slow-pace paddle along the South Gower coast, exploring the amazing beaches and cliffs from the water’s perspective, and seeing what wildlife we can spot along the way. As it’s a full-day trip, it would be rude not to visit a couple of the famous beaches along the way, stopping for lunch and some delicious Welsh ice cream – whatever the weather! You should have some paddleboarding experience for this trip.
Paddle to Your Pub Lunch
Our other favourite canal adventure! But for different reasons! What could make for a better day than a peaceful morning’s paddle through the Brecon Beacons to get lunch at a good ol’ traditional British pub? After enjoying your pub grub, we’ll head back onto the canal for a (probably slower) paddle back. During the summer months, we can also run this trip as an afternoon paddle, and evening meal before returning.
